When upgrading a building with External Wall Insulation (EWI), the thickness of the insulation wrap pushes the outer wall outward by 100mm to 180mm. Standard concrete or PVC window sills no longer project far enough to shed rainwater, risking severe water ingress, dampness, and mold.
The solution is an aluminium over-sill (also known as an external window sill cover). Instead of expensive and disruptive structural concrete removal, a custom powder-coated aluminium over-sill is fabricated to fit directly over the existing sill, extending over the new insulation layer to provide a continuous, 100% waterproof seal.

Made-to-measure projections from 100mm up to 400mm, ensuring the required 40-50mm drip overhang past the finished external insulation render.
Pre-formed vertical upstands at the window reveal protect the EWI junction, directing all rainwater onto the sloped sill profile.
Optional sound-dampening backing pads applied to the underside of the metal over-sill to eliminate rain noise.
