Capping Sections

Our registered fabricators utilize advanced CNC folding technology to custom-form each section of parapet capping. By clipping the profiles onto internal brackets (secret-fix), we avoid surface-penetrating screws which are the primary cause of roof upstand leaks. Standard features include a dual-sided drip edge to prevent render staining and factory-welded joints to handle thermal expansion.

We recommend a minimum thickness of 2mm for marine-grade aluminium cappings. This provides sufficient structural strength, resists wind uplift, and allows clean welding without wrapping or warping.
A secret-fix system clips onto pre-fitted internal brackets. Because no screws penetrate the upper surface of the capping, there are no fastener holes for rainwater to seep through, and the metal can expand and contract safely.
For maximum waterproofing, corners should always be factory-welded. Mitering and jointing corners on-site using sealants is a common failure point that results in flat roof leaks over time.
